Built originally by Alco-Pittsburgh in May of 1903 as B&O 2-8-0 #2236, the loco was rebuilt to an 0-8-0 configuration by the B&O Shops in Newark, NJ in May of 1926. The loco was renumbered BO 0-8-0 #1050 and lasted until being scrapped in April of 1952. Rebuilt specs - 57" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 210,000 lb and tractive effot of 54,800 lb. This is an Arthur B. Johnson photo |
